Here's what makes Gorilla Mill special

When it comes to tooling, Gorilla Mill is a different animal.

No Gimmicks
It aint no gimmick either - At Gorilla Mill, we never wanted to be just another name in the endless sea of endmill manufacturers. There are already a million of those—and frankly, the world doesn’t need another.

What it does need is someone willing to shake up the game, flip the bird to mediocrity, and prove that cutting tools don’t have to be boring. That’s why we ditched the vanilla, leaned into edgy marketing, and built a brand where grit, attitude, and pure performance collide. We’re not here to blend in. We’re here to disrupt.
And yeah, every now and then some knob pipes up and calls us a “gimmick.” Cute. But gimmicks don’t rip through Inconel like a pissed-off Wisconsin badger with a hangover. Gimmicks don’t crank flawless finishes at 600–1000 SFM while your competitor’s tools are curled up in the scrap bin begging for mercy. Gimmicks don’t hold tolerance after hours of trench warfare inside a blazing spindle, chewing through titanium like it’s Sunday brunch.

Gorilla Mill ain’t a gimmick. It’s a declaration of war on mediocrity.
Even our damn shipping boxes are tougher than half the tooling out there.
So unless you enjoy scrapping parts, babysitting brittle cutters, and spoon-feeding your machines junk food, it’s time to load some Gorilla into the spindle.

What makes the Gorilla Mill Difference?
Why do Gorilla Mill products stand out in the tool kingdom? One reason is their revolutionary nanocomposite PVD coating process made possible by LARC (Lateral Rotating Cathodes). Nanocomposite coatings are proven to beat conventional coatings by a significant margin. The performance and hardness of this coating, called GMS2, stem from the nanocomposite coating’s unique honeycomb-like structure. It provides superior high heat resistance and is exceptionally hard yet flexible.

Another reason is the patented variable flute and index design which reduces chatter and vibration. Gorilla Mill products are ideal for aggressive machining applications in all materials including stainless, inconel, titanium, tool steels and hardened materials. They’re produced with the highest Transverse Rupture Strength (TRS) nano-grain carbide substrate available and can be resharpened.

A perfectly prepped edge using geometries and honing wheels (Secret Squirrel Sh@t) to create the most durable edge for our Gorilla Mills® and Primates®.

Just a few reasons why Gorilla Mills® are the toughest, smartest, most badass tools on the planet. Chew on that!

Phenom

Based on the original 5 flute Gorilla Mill, the “Phenom” for high temp alloys features geometric enhancements that make it uniquely suited for difficult to machine materials including: inconel, waspaloy, hastelloy, rene, stellite, 17-4 SS, 15-5 SS, 13-8 SS and Titanium.

Coated with GMS² revolutionary, newly formulated, PVD coating process

Baboon

Based on the original 5 flute Gorilla Mill, Baboon and Phenom are designed for high temp alloys and feature geometric enhancements that make them uniquely suited for difficult-to-machine materials including: inconel, waspaloy, hastelloy, rene, stellite, 17-4 SS, 15-5 SS, 13-8 SS and titanium. They are offered in special diameters, lengths and can be resharpened. Baboon and Phenom are coated with GMS² revolutionary, newly formulated, PVD coating process.

Silverback

For roughing and finishing of non-ferrous materials, aluminum, copper, brass, plastic, etc. High velocity, high material removal rate and engineered to repel aluminum. Center cutting. Produced with the highest Transverse Rupture Strength (TRS) nano-grain carbide substrate available

Yeti

Similar to Baboon and Phenom but based off the original 4-flute Gorilla Mill. The Yeti is built tough for heavy roughing in all materials, especially in high-temperature alloys. Its GMS2 coating and geometric enhancements allow for work on difficult-to-machine materials.

Gorilla Mill (The OG)

Patented variable flute and index design which reduces chatter and vibration. Recommended for aggressive machining applications in all materials including stainless, inconel, titanium, tool steels and hardened materials. Should be run at specific parameters. Produced with the highest Transverse Rupture Strength (TRS) nano-grain carbide substrate available.

Coated with GMX-35 universal high-performance coating
THE BEST chip control known to man or ape.

Sasquatch

These center-cutting mills deliver extremely high removal rates while maintaining a superb finish. They are recommended for aggressive machining applications in all materials including, stainless, inconel, titanium, tool steels and hardened materials.
